Q: How do I order
photos?
A: To order photos simply click on the “Find My Photos” link and
follow the on screen instructions to find your event. Once you have
found your event, you can preview the numerous photos and find the ones
you would like to order. Then simply select your desired packages and
you will be sent to a secure site for checkout.
Q: How long does it
take to get my photos after I order them?
A: Once an order is placed it typically takes 5-7 business days to
process and ship. After that it depends on what shipping method you
choose. Every image is edited by
hand before we send it to the lab for printing.
It then comes back to our offices for quality control, labeling,
packaging and shipping.
Q: How do I send a FREE Photo Card?
A: Simply click on the “Find My Photos” link and follow the on
screen instructions to find your event. Once you have found your event,
you can preview the numerous photos and at any time click on the link
above the photo called “e-mail photocard”.
Q: Will you come to my son/daughters event and take some photos for
me?
A: Yes. By clicking on “Contact Us” you can submit a simple form to
have us contact you to make arrangements for your upcoming event. James
Pratt Photography can provide you with Individual and Action photos of your
event.
Q: Do I have to sign up or pay to view my Childs pictures?
A: No. All of our photos are available for previewing at no charge!
Simply click on “Find Your Photos” and follow the instructions to find
your pictures. You can even send a Photo Card to friends and family for
FREE!
Q: What is the quality of the photographs I order?
A: All our photos are processed by professional labs, not photo
printers, ensuring that the quality and longevity of our products is one
of the best available today. With James Pratt Photography your satisfaction is
guaranteed.
Q: Why do the
images have writing on them?
A: The images on the website are meant for proof purposes
only. They are only
intended to show the content of the image, not the final output.
Prints that are ordered will be a much higher quality.
Q: I don’t see
my team or sport listed.
Can you photograph it?
A: It is very difficult for us to cover every team at every
event. If you would like
us to cover a particular event, please contact us and we will do
our best to accommodate your event.
We do ask in return that you help spread the word about
what we are doing and what we offer.
Q: Do you use digital cameras?
A: Yes, we use professional level digital cameras and
lenses. The high end
digital cameras are the same ones used by top photographers
working for national and regional magazines and newspapers.
Q: Can I use your photographs?
A: Yes, after an image is purchased it may be used for
personal display in a home, school or office.
You cannot scan nor download the image and place it on a
website or in any sort of publication.
The latter would constitute a violation of US copyright
laws and would need to be licensed for such use.
Please e-mail us if you have that sort of usage in mind.
Q: Do you digitally manipulate your images?
A: Not in the sense that some people think.
Yes every image is manipulated in some way digitally.
Most of the time it is to adjust the brightness,
contrast, or colors, remove dust and to crop the image.
We do NOT change the nature of the image (adding fingers,
removing people from the background, etc.).
This type of photo-manipulation goes against the grain
for a documentative photograph.
Q: What do you
take pictures of?
A: We mostly take pictures of sports, the action of teams
and individuals participating in most types of sporting
activities, special events and posed portraits.
